At r2n, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our clients. This Privacy Policy reflects our dedication to safeguarding your personal and sensitive information. We collect and use your data only for the purposes explicitly stated and for no other reason. The policy also explains your rights and outlines how we handle your data transparently and responsibly.

What data is being collected and how long will it be stored
We may collect Personal data, including sensitive information and other information. “Personal data” means data relating to you and that can identify you (name, address, email address and telephone number, demographic information). “Sensitive information” means information related to your ethnic origin, nationality, salary, family status etc. By providing Sensitive Data to us, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of Sensitive Data as permitted by applicable privacy laws. We may collect this information through a website, personal meetings/phone calls or forms you complete. Personal data is not kept for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it has been collected or it is required according to law or contract. After this time all personal data will be deleted from our system.

Legal basis

It is a precondition for our processing of your personal data to be lawful and that there is a legal basis for this. Through an agreement with your employer or his/her representative we are asked to deliver services which involve personal information from you. This can be services such as work/residence permit application/EU registration, Home Finding, registration with public authorities etc.

How we will use the information
We will only use your personal information to:

  • Perform our services ordered by your Employer

  • Provide you with customer support

  • Communicate with you about the services you/your Employer have requested

  • Send you our weekly newsletter and details of our events

 We may perform these services directly or use a third-party vendor that will be obligated to use your personal information only to perform services for us.

 

With whom we will share your information

We will only share your information with organisations and individuals vital to the fulfillment of services ordered for you:

  • Work/residence permit or EU registration: National and local authorities (UDI – Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, Police, Tax Office, Embassies)

  • Home Finding/Lease agreement: Property brokers, landlords/their representatives, banking institutions, utility providers

  • Other services: kindergarten/schools, Vehicle Licence authorities and other service providers. These service providers may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use such information for any other purposes.

In connection with the performance of some of our services your personal data may be transferred outside of the EU/EEA. R2N will ensure that transfers of your personal data outside of the EU/EEA is only done to the extent permitted by law. If your data is being transferred outside the EU/EEA you will be informed.

 

Security

Through security measures, we will always protect your personal information from loss, destruction, misuse and unauthorised access or disclosure. Please ensure all sensitive information to be transmitted to us is done through secure channels.

 

Data regarding spouse/partner and family members

Our services may include handling of sensitive information about your spouse/partner and/or children under your care. This information will be handled in accordance with the service agreement with your employer and this policy.

 

Your legal rights
You have the right to revoke your consent, if given, for us using your personal data, to object to our processing of your data or request that the personal data that we have processed be corrected and/or be deleted. If you have provided your personal data to us and wish to know what data we have stored, you may request information about this. You also have a right to data portability, i.e. to receive your personal data listed in a structured format. Please note that it may be required that we retain necessary personal data to fulfill our obligations by law or contract. If you wish to execute any of the above rights, please contact us.  If you consider that the processing of your personal data has been dealt with incorrectly, please notify us as soon as possible.

 

Right of appeal

If you have any objection to our processing of personal information, a complaint may be sent to your Employer or his/her representative.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
